Annual Meetings

Every year, the members of the Pennsylvania-Ohio-West Virginia Chapter of AAPM gather to share their work and learn from a variety of invited speakers covering research, clinical, professional development, and well-being topics relevant to physicists in any specialty.

Typically the third weekend of September, this meeting offers CAMPEP continuing education credits for talks from AAPM leadership, invited speakers, and proffered abstracts.

The meeting fosters collegial interaction between clinical and academic medical physicists, students, trainees, and vendors to promote collaboration and networking.

The meeting is 1.5 days (Friday and Saturday morning) and its location changes to different cities around the POWV area.  It also features a night out for participants to interact in a more informal setting.

We have Speaker positions for proffered Abstracts. Click here to contact us.

Registration is now open!

The AAPM Ohio River Valley Chapter (ORVC) and AAPM Penn-Ohio-West Virginia (POWV) Chapter are joining efforts to bring members from Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia together for another joint fall symposium “Redefining Radiation: The Next Era of Medical Physics.”

Join us on Friday evening for our night out on the Gateway Clipper. We will cruise up and down the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio Rivers with views of downtown Pittsburgh. Dinner and drinks are included. And bring your best dance moves because we’re having a DJ!
