Medical Physics Rotation Initiative
The Medical Physics Residency Rotation Initiative, under the AAPM POWV chapter, offers a unique two-year program for residents to enhance their training by touring departments in Pittsburgh and Cleveland. This initiative was created to enhance regional training by offering residents hands-on experience in advanced modalities not available at all institutions.
Latest rotation: On January 16–17, 2026, residents from across the region visited Cleveland Clinic Main Campus for a two-day Special Procedures rotation covering radiopharmaceutical dosimetry with MIM, TheraSphere and radiation safety, GammaTile and intraoperative radiation therapy, hyperthermia, and MIM scripting for VMAT-TBI, spatially fractionated RT, and cardiac radioablation.
